A year-long membership

Join a conscious community of practitioners

Tango Mothers: You are a full time tango + movement teacher and community builder.
$100 refundable deposit on application, then $495/year OR $45 billed monthly.

Tango Sisters: You supplement/subsidize your tango work with dependable income.
$100 refundable deposit on application, then $995/year OR $85/month.

This is less than the full cost of traveling to a single tango festival, and what you’ll gain is far more lasting: a curated, facilitated space for real development, and trusted allies to grow something new in your community.

If we determine the guild is not a fit for you, your deposit will be returned to you within a week.

FAQs

  • The guild is for those who are interested in learning and see personal and professional development as an important part of their tango teaching and community leadership journey. The founding cohort of the tango guild is for open-minded, enthusiastic women, broadly defined. If you identify with women’s experiences in tango leadership, you are welcome to apply.

  • We are looking for open-minded, flexible thinkers who embrace innovation, dance both roles, and are committed to learning. Zero drama, complaining, or victimization. We are a collective of amazing, powerful, dynamic, badass, future-focused tango humans. 

  • We welcome 150 founding members in 2026. Membership rates will go up with each new cohort.

  • You will become a community leader and tango facilitator who is more capable of bringing your dreams for your community to life. Your path will be your own, from tiny hacks, to big program redefinitions to underlying system care. One single well-chosen resource or thoughtful conversation could save you months of spinning your wheels. A curated circle of peers who understand your challenges is invaluable. Your mentor will support your success.

  • Most people who are successful invest in mentorship and professional communities, because it works. A whole year guild membership is less than the cost of traveling to a single tango festival, and what you’ll gain is far more lasting: a curated, facilitated space for real development, and trusted allies to grow something new in your community. If you have the resources to travel for tango, consider directing some of your professional development budget to tango guild. 

  • Please only apply to this if you are willing to make the time in your calendar and the space in your heart for new ideas and new people. Expect to spend 3-4 focused hours a month building something that will serve your community for years. 

  • We get it. But that feeling of being stretched thin will never change if you keep doing what you’re doing without zooming out, getting perspective, and developing new strategies and foundations.

  • This isn’t an off-the-shelf solution that will “work” or “not work.” This is an invitation to become part of a community of practice that will uplift your approach to organizing. We value autonomy, experimentation, and respect for local tango.

  • Payment plans for the annual membership can be arranged, and we have a few seats available at a supporting tier. Please contact us.

  • Thank you! Convening community and holding space is work. Creating resources, holding space, and offering a high quality container of support takes real time and energy. We welcome your support. Please set up a time to meet and explore.
